How I Unwind on a Stressful Day

 


Some days just feel... too much.

Deadlines pile up, energy drops, and all I want is a pause — not a vacation, just a soft space to breathe.

Over time, I’ve found little rituals that help me feel like myself again. They don’t involve anything fancy or expensive, just simple things that bring comfort and calm. If you’re reading this on one of those days, maybe you’ll find something here that works for you too 💆‍♀️

🎶 1. A Hot Shower + My Go-To Playlist

My stress-relief routine always starts with a hot shower and music — slow Bollywood, calm lo-fi beats, or just instrumental background scores.
There’s something magical about standing under warm water while Arijit Singh or Prateek Kuhad plays in the background. It’s like pressing a gentle restart button on my soul.

📝 2. Writing Without Overthinking

I don’t journal the “dear diary” way — I just open my Notes app and dump my thoughts.
No structure, no judgement. I write whatever I feel.
Sometimes it’s messy, sometimes poetic, sometimes one word repeated 10 times. But it helps me empty my mind and breathe again.

🍜 3. Comfort Food & Skin TLC

My comfort combo = Maggi, chai, and a sheet mask.
Yes, it’s that simple.

I never watch intense shows on stressful days. Instead, I go for feel-good favourites — like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Wake Up Sid, or even some cozy Korean slice-of-life vlogs on YouTube.
The familiar scenes, the softness, the nostalgia — it just soothes me.

📴 5. Logging Out (Literally)

When I really need a reset, I put my phone on silent and toss it somewhere far away. Even an hour offline feels like a break from the world.
No notifications, no comparing my life to perfect reels — just silence and my own space.

💗 Final Thoughts

Not every rough day needs a big solution. Sometimes, it’s the small things — warm water, good music, a comfort meal, and a little skincare — that bring us back to centre.
